Our story

My love of sighthounds started young, I grew up with a Lurcher-Lab who was our beloved family dog, and I’ve always felt drawn to long-nosed dogs with soulful eyes. In my early twenties, I kept my horse at a yard where the owner had whippets; elegant, gentle, and a little aloof in the most charming way. I knew then and there, that was the dog I wanted one day.

Gabriel, on the other hand, wasn’t allowed a dog growing up, so when we decided to get a dog, any dog at all felt like a dream come true for him and naturally, whippets won.

Hugo (pictured above) was our first. He was everything we’d hoped for, affectionate and full of personality. Tragically, at just two years old, Hugo was diagnosed with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (IMT). Despite a 70% survival rate, he was one of the unlucky few. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go just before his fourth birthday. Losing him was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced.

We’d always considered adding a second whippet, but often talked ourselves out of it, then Moss came along. Not long after Hugo’s diagnosis, we heard from our breeder that one of her puppies was being returned after just four weeks in their new home. We didn’t hesitate. Moss joined us and brought with him the sweetest, most grounding energy, just when we needed it most.

Mylo arrived in a way that felt like fate. He was born just five days before we lost Hugo. At first, we weren’t sure we were ready to consider another, but it quickly became clear Moss wasn’t going to be as happy on his own. We looked at the litter, and Mylo instantly stood out. Even if we’d had first pick, it would’ve been him. Funny enough, he shares so many little traits with Hugo that it’s hard not to feel like a part of him stayed with us.

Outside of life with the boys, we’ve always shared a love for travel, beautiful spaces, and the kind of slow, intentional living that puts comfort first - a mindset the whippets fully support. I’ve had a lifelong passion for interiors, reimagining spaces, styling cosy corners, and soaking up inspiration from everywhere we go.

Our Instagram page started as a creative outlet, and over time it’s grown into something so much more, a place to share our love of whippets, design, and everyday beauty. It's become our way of storytelling wrapped in velvet snoots, soft furnishings, and the occasional muddy paw.
